YOU CAN NEVER JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER WHEN IT COMES TO MARRIAGE.
Husband and wife lived happily for 15 years, or so it seemed. Little did the outside world know that what they were putting up was just a show. Every woman envied the wife for having such a loving and caring husband, every man counted the husband lucky for having such a near perfect spouse as a wife. Other couples generally envied the relationship the pair had, and silently wished and prayed for such. It happened that the husband was a cleric and his counsel was always sorted when disagreements between spouses arose. Many times they saw him shake his head whenever he heard other couples issues. Little did they know that what he was facing was even worse off.
It was shocking when he announced that his wife had divorced him. She had woken up one day and decided their marriage was over. Everyone was devastated. How could this be? What could have happened? What about the kids? (as they had two lovely kids together) But they were a perfect couple, they were in love, they were a model for a happy married life.
How could this be?
This must be shaytan (satan) or was it?
The husband pleads that wife comes back, sends emissaries to plead on his behalf to no avail. Whatever might have transpired between the duo is between the two of them and the creator but the long and short of this true-life story is; be careful what you wish for and when it comes to viewing other people’s marriages, the more you look the less you see. We should learn to be thankful for our marriages, however, imperfect they may be. We should never compare our relationships with others as you may be shocked at what may be happening behind closed doors if you knew.
